Tips in Removing Blood Stains From Your

Accidents are unfortunate events that we try to avoid but sadly happens nonetheless. Bumps and cuts in and around the house can result in bruises and wounds that everyone dreads. One place where you would not want this to happen is on your carpet as blood stains can become difficult to get out. After treating your wound or cut you would need to face the daunting task of cleaning the mess off of your carpet.
Blood stains are particularly difficult to remove. It is hard to get out of clothing, linens, and yes your carpet. If you are facing the tough task of removing blood stains off your carpet, fret not as there are ways to help make this easier for you. Here are some of the steps that you can follow to easily remove that blood stain off your carpet.
• Blood stains, like most other stains, are best removed if you attend to it immediately. Do not let hours or even days pass before you try and clean it up. Once the blood is spilled on your carpet, get your gloves and your cleaning equipment ready and start on your task of removing it right away.
• First, try to get as much of the blood off your carpet as possible. To do this, get a clean white cloth and blot the stain slowly. Be sure not to rub the stain as it can make it worse rather than better.
• Next, mix one teaspoon of liquid non-bleach detergent with a cup of cold water in a spray bottle. One difference in trying to clean blood off your carpet is the use of cold water instead of warm water. Most stains use warm water to clean out the stain but in this case the blood only coagulates and goes even deeper in the carpet fibers. Using cold instead of warm water can fix this problem and give you the best chance of treating the stain.
• Spray the stained area with the solution and use a clean white cloth or a paper towel to blot out the blood and transfer it on to the clean surface. Repeat this step until all of the blood stain has been removed.
• After removing all of the stain, rinse the area with water to remove any excess detergent residue off your carpet.
